The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has stated that the 2025 budget will expose the inefficiencies and poor economic management of the previous NPP government, revealing the dire financial state in which they left the nation.

Speaking ahead of the budget presentation on Tuesday, March 11, the Ellembelle MP expressed deep concerns about the economic crisis inherited from the former administration.

He asserted that the NPP’s mismanagement had led to a severe financial downturn, which will be clearly reflected in the new budget.

“This budget is going to confirm to the people of Ghana the hole that has been created. When we said that the previous government had been careless, this is what we meant because we are going to paint a picture of a place that we could not have imagined we could sink,” he stated.

Beyond highlighting the shortcomings of the NPP, Armah-Kofi Buah emphasized the new administration’s commitment to steering the country toward economic recovery.

He assured Ghanaians that while the budget will detail the current financial difficulties, it will also outline a clear path toward revitalization and growth.

“We are also going to give the people of Ghana a plan that lays out prosperity and hope for the coming years,” he added.
