Firefighters from the Mpraeso Fire Station executed a six-hour rescue mission following a serious road accident on the Kwahu Abetifi Abene road, where a car carrying two men plunged into a roadside ditch.
The rescue team, led by Station Officer II Sanusi Issah, found the driver trapped in the wreckage and successfully extricated him after hours of intense effort. Both the driver and passenger were handed over to personnel from the National Ambulance Service and transported to the Atibie Government Hospital for treatment.
Preliminary investigations indicate that brake failure caused the crash, which left the front section of the vehicle extensively damaged. Officers from the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), Mr. Banahene, and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Mr. Brobbey, were present to assist at the scene.
