The Ashanti Region Kusasi Chief And doubled as Kaadi divisional Area Chief in the Bunduri District of the Upper East Region Abdul-Malik Azenbe has been shot dead by unknown assailants in front of his house at Asawase F-line near community centre.
The incident happened on Tuesday 22nd July, 205 at about 8:40pm. According to eyewitness, two persons on motorbike one of holding AK-47 rifle upon reaching in front of the disease house, one of persons holding the AK-47 rifle shot at the deceased multiple times and speed off. The Chief was rushed to Manhyia district hospital and due his condition he was referred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital upon reaching there he was pronounced dead.
The Ashanti Regional Police Commander DCOP Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe and his team upon hearing the incident went to the deceased and console with the family and commence investigation promise the family, his outfit will make sure killers will found and brought to book.
