Leaked WhatsApp chats unmask your ‘cooked’ survey – Dr. Ekua Amoako fires at Dr. Evans Duah
Leaked WhatsApp messages have cast doubt on the credibility of a nationwide survey released on Monday, October 20, 2025, by the research group Academics and Professionals, after evidence surfaced that the poll was allegedly manipulated to favour New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.

The revelations expose what appears to be a coordinated political campaign disguised as independent academic research.
The leaked messages, believed to be from a WhatsApp group named “50K Army ED4K with ED4K” — short for “Dr. Evans Duah for Kennedy” — suggest that the group’s lead researcher, Dr. Evans Duah, personally directed efforts to shape the poll’s release and online reception to boost Mr. Agyapong’s image ahead of the party’s January 31, 2025, presidential primaries.
In one of the messages, Dr. Duah reportedly informed group members, “I am coming out tomorrow 5pm and 7pm respectively. Be ready,” referring to the planned rollout of the report on social media and in the press. After publication, he urged members to, “Like, comment and share massively.”
Further leaks indicate that Dr. Duah invited members to his Asokwa office in Kumasi to strategize on the survey’s content and publicity across digital platforms, reinforcing suspicions that the poll was politically motivated.
Reacting to the development, Deputy Spokesperson to the former Vice-President, Dr. Ekua Amoakoh, described the survey released by Academics and Professionals as a “shameful propaganda tool” intended to “mislead the public and distort the internal democratic processes of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).”
Dr. Amoakoh said the revelations have vindicated the Bawumia Campaign’s position that several polls circulating within the party were “politically manufactured propaganda pieces.”
She noted that the leaked chats prove the findings were not based on sound research but rather on a deliberate attempt to create false momentum for Mr. Agyapong.
“This so-called research has now been exposed for what it truly is — a fabricated political project designed to deceive delegates and manipulate public opinion. The Bawumia Campaign Team remains focused on facts, data, and the real sentiments of delegates across the country, not on orchestrated PR gimmicks,” she stressed.
She added that Dr. Bawumia’s growing grassroots support, strong governance record, and focus on digital transformation continue to make him the leading contender in the upcoming primaries.
“Dr. Bawumia’s strength lies in his record, his vision, and his unmatched connection with the grassroots. From the north to the south, delegates see in him a unifier, a reformer, and a leader who understands both the economy and the everyday struggles of Ghanaians. The primaries will be won not through deception, but through credibility, performance, and trust, and that is where Dr. Bawumia stands tall,” she stated.
Dr. Amoakoh also called on delegates and the media to be vigilant in scrutinizing politically driven surveys and to verify data authenticity before publication.
