John Mahama Names Heavyweight Transition Team for 2024 Power Transfer

Seasoned professionals from governance, finance, and public administration to steer smooth political transition.

  • Focused on ensuring a seamless transfer of power in line with Act 845
  • Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho added to the Transitional Advisory Council

President-elect John Dramani Mahama has announced the formation of his Transition Team, adhering to the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (Act 845).

The team, comprising seasoned professionals from diverse fields such as finance, governance, and public administration, aims to facilitate a seamless transfer of power from the outgoing administration.

The inauguration of the transition team is expected to take place on December 11, 2024

The Transition Team includes:

  1. Hon. Julius Debrah – Co-Chairperson
  2. Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia – Member
  3. Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey – Member
  4. Dr. Callistus Mahama – Member/Secretary
  5. Dr. Valerie Sawyer – Member
  6. Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi – Member
  7. Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson – Member
  8. Hon. Mahama Ayariga – Member
  9. Hon. Goosie Tanoh – Member
  10. Dr. Edward Omane Boamah – Member

Additionally, Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho has been appointed to the Transitional Advisory Council. This critical team is poised to ensure a smooth transition of governance in 2024.
