An Assistant Divisional Officer I (ADO I) Prince Essel Junior, District Administrator and Second-in-Command of the Kadjebi District Command, GNFS, disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview at Kadjebi in the Oti Region.

He said that though the GNFS Oti Regional Command mechanic came and assessed the fire tender, the cost of repairs is significant, and the District Command cannot bear it.

The Second-in-Command also mentioned that the Member of Parliament (MP) for Akan, Mr Yao Gomado, has suggested that the Command write for assistance, and they have complied and are awaiting a response.

ADO I Essel Jnr stated that due to the absence of the vehicle, it would be difficult for personnel to handle any emergencies that might occur, which could be disastrous for the district.

He appealed to the Kadjebi District Assembly, benevolent organisations, and philanthropists to help bring the vehicle back on the road before any avoidable disaster strikes.
