Vice President in U.S. for Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue
Ghana’s Vice President joins global leaders in the U.S. for the Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue, promoting agricultural innovation, food security, and sustainable development.

Ghana’s Vice President, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, is in the United States to participate in the 2025 Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue in Des Moines, Iowa. The event, organized by the World Food Prize Foundation, brings together global leaders, policymakers, researchers, and development experts to discuss solutions for achieving sustainable agriculture and global food security.
During her visit, the Vice President will deliver a keynote address highlighting Ghana’s ongoing efforts to improve food security, promote agricultural innovation, and empower women and youth in agribusiness. Her speech will emphasize the government’s strategies for building climate-resilient food systems and expanding opportunities within the agricultural sector.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with international development partners and attend a high-level roundtable focused on innovation, technology, and sustainable farming practices. These engagements aim to strengthen Ghana’s collaboration with other nations and organizations working to address global food challenges.
