“Come To Our Aid” — Adankwame Health Workers Implore The Ghanaian Public As Wild Reptiles Hound Their Hospital

Very unfortunate incidents have been recorded in the Ashanti regional district, from the Atwima Nwabiagya North ever since the infestation of snakes and scorpions surged.

These venomous reptiles have taken over corners and crevices of the health care facility, much to the discomfort of the patients and health workers in general.

Apart from the attacks of these wild animals, there has also been involvement of unknown strangers who lurk around the hospital, hindering movement and work progress.

During a tête-a-tête with a Ghanablogs.com editor, Hajia Abdullah Kabura, a senior physic assistant at Adankwame Hospital, disclosed that a lot had been done to control the situation when it came to theft of hospital furniture.

She added that the health workers had, also, joined hands in setting a fence in the area to ward off pick-pockets and robbers, but over time, it seems their best was not good enough.

This is the reason she appealed to the ruling government and other important personalities in the country to support them in building a fence to boost the hospital’s terms of security.

Prior to this, a philanthropic individual identified as Mr. Kwadwo Nyantakyi, issued out some donations to the Adankwame health facility, with items such as street light provisions, hospital facility materials, television sets, and many more.

As there was no sure method to protect these donations from the prying eyes of strangers, Mr. Nyantakyi extended another appeal to all Ghanaians based across the globe, to join in supporting the vital needs of the hospital, as this will do best in facelifting the whole of Atwima Nwabiagya North.
